How do I download my E Aadhaar card? 5 Simple Ways
E-Aadhar cards, which are password-protected electronic copies (or digital copies) of your Aadhar are digitally signed and authenticated by UIDAI. E-Aadhar can now be downloaded online using the five easy methods described below.
1. E Aadhar Card Download using Aadhaar Number:

Visit the official Aadhar website or select ‘Download Aadhaar’ under My Aadhar or visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricDownloadAadhaar
Select the “Aadhar number” option
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and security code to get your one-time password. Then click on ” Send OTP”.
Enter the OTP you have received, and then click on verify and Download.
A password-protected PDF will be downloaded to your Downloads folder if you have successfully verified your Aadhar Card. To open the file, you will need to enter an 8-character password. To set the password, combine your name in capitals (as in Aadhar), with your year of birthday (YYYY).
2. E-Aadhar download using Name and Date Of Birth
You can retrieve your UIDAID by visiting https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-UIDAID/.
You can enter your full name, or your registered email address and mobile number. Enter the security code.
Click on the’Send OTP ‘.
After entering the OTP that you received on your registered number, click on the “Verify OTP” option.
You will receive a message once your Aadhar number has been sent to your registered mobile phone number.
Open the e-Aadhar Page on the UIDAI official website
Enter your 28-digit enrollment ID, 12-digit Aadhaar code, and a security code from your registered telephone number. Then click ‘Send OTP!
Next, enter the OTP sent to you via your registered mobile number.
3. E-Aadhar download by using enroll number
Visit the UIDAI official website first
Once you click on “Download Aadhar,” you will be directed to “myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genericDownloadAadhaar.”.
Enter your 28-digit enrollment number, and security code, and click on “Send OTP”.
To verify the OTP sent to your registered mobile number, click on “Verify and Download”. A copy of your eAadhar card will be sent to your mobile device.
4. E-Aadhar Download using Virtual ID (VID)
Go first to the UIDAI online website
Click the button ” Download Aadhaar” in the “My Aadhar” section.
Select the VID option
To generate an OTP, enter your security code and virtual ID. Tap on send
A download link for e-Aadhar will be sent to you
Enter the password associated with your Aadhar Card to access it. To open the PDF file, you will need a password of 8 digits. This includes your first four letters in capital letters as well as ” Year Of Birth”.

5. DigiLocker Account – E Aadhaar Download
DigiLocker, in conjunction with UIDAI, has made it possible for cardholders to link DigiLocker accounts and Aadhar. DigiLocker allows documents and certificates to be stored, shared, verified, and issued in digital form. This allows selected registered organizations to send electronic copies to citizens’ “digital lockers”. These are the steps to download Aadhar using DigiLocker.
Log in to your DigiLocker Account
Under the ” Log In” button, enter your 12-digit Aadhar Number
Click the button verify to get the OTP
Your OTP has been sent directly to your mobile number. Please enter it
Tap’Verify OTP
The page titled “Issued document” appears. Click on the icons to download the” page.
Check your E- Aadhaar Card Status.
To check the status of your enrollment, you will need to provide the Enrolment ID or EID and the date. The acknowledgment slip contains detailed information regarding the date and EID.

Tap on “My Aadhaar”
Click on the dropdown menu to activate it and choose ‘Check Aadhar status.
Enter your Enrolment ID (or Service Request Number (SRN) and the captcha.
