Documents Required for PAN Card Application:
Proof of Identity: This can be any government-issued identity document such as a Voter ID card, Aadhaar card, Driving License, Passport, etc.
Proof of Address: This can be any government-issued address proof such as a Voter ID card, Aadhaar card, Driving License, Passport, Electricity Bill, Telephone Bill, etc.
Photograph: A recent passport-sized photograph.
Signature: A scanned copy of your signature.
How to Apply PAN Card Online
Steps to Apply for PAN Card Online:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Income Tax Department of India, which is https://www.incometaxindia.gov.in.
Step 2: Look for the ‘Apply for PAN’ option on the website’s homepage and click on it.
Step 3: From the drop-down menu, select the ‘New PAN – Indian Citizen (Form 49A)’ option, if you are an Indian citizen. If you are a foreign citizen, select ‘New PAN – Foreign Citizen (Form 49AA).’
Step 4: Fill in the application form with your personal and contact details such as your name, date of birth, email address, mobile number, etc.
Step 5: Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and identity and address proofs.
Step 6: Pay the processing fee, which is currently INR 107 for Indian citizens and INR 1,017 for foreign citizens.
Step 7: Submit the application and take a printout of the acknowledgement receipt, which contains a unique 15-digit acknowledgment number.
Step 8:Once your application is processed and verified, you will receive your PAN card via post within 15-20 working days.
