History
The Temple was built between the 15th and 17th centuries. There is also a temple that is dedicated to the god Lord Shiva. It was built before the construction of the Narasimha Swamy Temple. Lord Rama constructed his idol of Lord Shiva within the temple.

The construction of the sanctuary during the eighteenth century came into the control of the kings of Peddapuram. The chairman who was the former head of the Temple gave a variety of donations to the temple. Then, a well-known businessman also donated to the temple. The shrine was later reconstructed into the current Korokonda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.

Significance
The name of the shrine was derived from the Telugu word ‘Koru’ which means desire, and ‘Konda”, Meaning Mountain. It is an appealing mountain or temple in which God takes the demands of His followers right away and fulfills their needs.

The most significant idol in this shrine the most important idol here is Narasimha Swamy. Narasimha Swamy is known by the name ‘Satvika Narasimha’ since the idol is always together with his wife, Lakshmidevi, at the shrine.

In the village, there are two temples which are dedicated to Lord Narasimha. The first is located on a mountain that is just a few kilometers from the village’s main. The other shrine is located on what is a mountain that is smaller in comparison to the hills around it. One shrine is self-contained, and the other was built manually or built.

The obvious statue is situated on a mountain that is about 200 meters in height. The Temple of Idols located in the Mountain is around nine inches tall.

 

Architecture

Korukonda Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Theertham
The Temple was built between 700 and 800 years ago. It is believed that the Parashara Bhattar family takes care of temple activities and carries on the tradition of recognizing family members as the original trustees. The temple is the best stunning location with a view of the site from the hill and the steps.

The poet Sri Srinath prayed to the Lord for the wanted “Vedadri” within his poems. Sila confirms it. Sasanam located in W.G.Dt, Laxmaneswaram village, Narsapur Taluka. It is dated 1443 A.D.

The government recently suggested developing the area around the Temple which is recognized the Temple as a tourist attraction.
