Aarogyasri Scheme is implemented a unique community health system in the state. The scheme provides financial protection for families living below the poverty line to Rs. 2 lakhs in a year for the treatment of serious illnesses requiring hospitalization and surgery. 938 treatments are covered under the scheme. for the treatment of diseases in which identified hospitalization, surgeries and therapies by an identified network of health care providers The objective of the scheme is the access of BPL families to improve the quality of medical care. The scheme provides coverage for systems such as heart, lung, liver, pancreas, kidney, neuro-surgery, pediatric congenital malformations, Burns, Post -Burn contracture surgery for functional improvement, prostheses (artificial limbs), cancer treatment (surgery, chemo therapy , radio-therapy), multiple trauma (including covered under MV Act) and cochlear implant surgery cases with Auditory verbal therapy for children under 2 years. All existing instances of the abovementioned diseases covered by the scheme.

The beneficiaries of the program are the members of the below poverty line (BPL) families as BPL ration card and in civil Supplies Department database listed and photographed. The advantage for the family is on floater basis ie the total reimbursement of Rs.1.50 lakhs may individually or jointly be taken by members of the family to complete. to take care of an additional sum of Rs 50,000 as a buffer provided by cost if it is the original sum Rs 1.50 lakhs exceeds per family. The cost of cochlear implant surgery with Auditory Verbal Therapy is paid up to a maximum of Rs.6.50 lakhs per case by the Fund.
