To make an online correction on your voter’s ID in Uttar Pradesh, simply follow the steps below:


    Visit the website of the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh. Select “Online Services for Voters” on the home page. You must choose “Request for Correction to the Information on the List of Electors. “Form 8 will be displayed on the screen to change your contact information.


    In Formula 8, you will first need to select the parliamentary constituency or assembly and your state. In the “Applicant Details” section, you must enter your name, age, gender, the part number of the electoral roll, the serial number in the part, details of the family members listed in The electoral register, and information on the current address.

    You will need to choose “Download” in the upper left corner of the screen to download documents including proof of identity, proof of age, and proof of address. Once the download is complete, you must also mention the details that need to be corrected. The following information printed on a voter’s identity card can be corrected using Form 8.

1.         Name of father, mother, or spouse
2.         Voter Identification Number (EPIC)
3.         Age
4.         Genre
5.         Name (Spelling, name, initials)
6.         Photograph
7.         Address

    Once you have filled out all fields on the form, you can save the form, reset it, or click Submit. Details will be verified and the new identifier of the voter will be sent to your address.

Offline voter identity card correction process in Uttar Pradesh

If you find any discrepancies in the details mentioned on your identity card, you can correct them by visiting the office of the Electoral Commission. Details such as surname, first name, initials, date of birth, and photographs may be printed incorrectly and must be corrected immediately.

Follow the steps below to make corrections in your off-line voter ID in Uttar Pradesh:

 

1.     Obtain Form 8 which is to correct the details mentioned in your voter ID. You can download it from the ECI website or send it to the office of the nearest Electoral Commission. Fill out all the details in the form completely and without any errors.
2.     You must also attach supporting documents such as proof of address, photographs, proof of identity, and proof of age with the form. For example, if you want to change your photo, you must attach proof of identity that has your correct photo and also submit recent photographs passport.
3.     Send the form with all documents to the nearest Electoral Commission office. Your request for a change of details in the voter identifier will be reviewed by the office of the Electoral Commission and the updated voter identifier will be sent to your residential address.

 

Change of address process in Voter ID online in Uttar Pradesh

More often than not, we have to change our home to another city or a new address because of events like marriage, job change, and education. In such cases, we must always ensure that the address remains up-to-date on the voter’s identity card.

Follow the steps below to update your online address in Uttar Pradesh:

 

1.     Visit the website of the Chief Electoral Officer of Uttar Pradesh. Select “Online Services for Voters”. The website will redirect you to the National Voter Services Portal (NVSP). On the resulting page, select Form 8 A for transposition within the assembly.
2.     Form 8 A will be displayed on the screen and you will need to select your electoral district and parliamentary assembly before entering the personal data.
3.     In the personal information section, you will need to enter details such as name, role number, last name, serial number of the piece, husband/parent’s name, Voter’s identity card, post office, city, taluka, mobile number, and e-mail address.
4.    In

5.     After entering your data, you must enter the period of

6.     Before submitting the form, you must download all KYC documents and photographs. If all the details you have mentioned are correct, a new voter ID with an updated address will be sent to your address.

 

Change of address process in off-line voter ID in Uttar Pradesh

The address mentioned in your voter ID must always remain relevant and up-to-date. If you have moved to a new ride or a new assembly, you must also change the address of your identification number.

1.     Obtain form 8A from the office of the nearest Electoral Commission. Alternatively, you can download it from the National Voter Portal website. Form 8 A is prescribed by the Electoral Commission of India for the transposition of the inscription on the voter’s list.
2.     Submit Form 8A to the office of the Electoral Commission closest
   to your region with all supporting documents as proof of age and proof
   of address.
3.     Your
   request for a change of address in the voter identifier will be
   examined and the voter identifier with the updated address will be sent
   to your address registered by the office of the electoral commission.
