Andhra Pradesh DEECET (Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, for candidates who wish to pursue a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) in various colleges across the state.

AP DEECET 2024 Counselling Important Dates

Students will be called for counselling according to the ranks they earn in the exam. Qualifying candidates will need to register themselves for AP DEECET web counselling 2024 and participate in the choice filling. Provided below are the important dates related to AP DEECET counselling 2024.

Counselling Process

The candidates who have qualified for the Andhra Pradesh DEECET exam after the announcement of the Andhra Pradesh DEECET exam results, the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, conducts a web counselling process for the qualified candidates. The web counselling process involves three stages, namely, certificate verification, web options entry, and seat allotment.

Andhra Pradesh DEECET Certificate Verification

The first stage of the web counselling process is certificate verification. The candidates who have qualified for the exam must attend the certificate verification process as per the schedule announced by the department. The department conducts the certificate verification process in various helpline centres across the state.

The candidates must carry the following documents in original and two sets of photocopies for the certificate verification process:

Andhra Pradesh DEECET rank card and hall ticket.

Intermediate or equivalent examination marks memo.

SSC or equivalent examination certificate.

Bonafide certificate from class 3 to class 10.

Transfer certificate.

Income certificate.

Caste certificate (if applicable).

Physically challenged certificate (if applicable).

Residence certificate.

Aadhaar card.

Passport-size photographs.

After the certificate verification process, the department will issue a receipt of certificates to the candidates. The candidates must keep the receipt of certificates safe, as it will be required during the subsequent stages of the web counselling process.

Web Option Entry

The second stage of the web counselling process is web options entry. After the certificate verification process, the department will open the web options entry portal on its official website. The candidates who have completed the certificate verification process can log in to the portal using their credentials and select the colleges and courses of their choice.

The candidates must select the colleges and courses in the order of their preference. The department advises the candidates to select a maximum number of options to increase their chances of getting a seat in their desired college. The candidates must also pay the processing fee online during the web options entry process.

Seat Allotment

The third stage of the web counselling process is seat allotment. After the web options entry process, the department will release the seat allotment result on its official website. The seat allotment will be done based on the candidate’s rank, the options selected by them, and the availability of seats in the respective colleges.

The department will send an SMS to the registered mobile number of the candidates regarding the seat allotment. The candidates must log in to the web counselling portal using their credentials to download the seat allotment letter. The seat allotment letter contains details such as the college and course allotted to the candidate and the date and time of reporting to the college.

Reporting to the College

After the seat allotment process, the candidates must report to the allotted college as per the schedule mentioned in the seat allotment letter. The candidates must carry the following documents in original and two sets of photocopies for the admission process:
