Nandan Nilekani (born in India) is an Indian businessman, bureaucrat politician, politician, and co-founder of the famous Software company Infosys. Nandan is an active part of the Council for Research in International Economic Relations (ICRIER) on behalf of India and is the president of the Independent Applied Economic Research Institute of India (NCAER).
He also serves as an advisory board member of various organizations such as the “World Economic Forum Foundation” and the ‘Bombay Heritage Foundation. He was also on the ‘Daily Show With Jon Stewart’ to promote his book “Imagining India The Idea of a Revitalized Nation’. He shared his views about India’s future India during a TED conference in 2009.

Personal life
Nandan Nilekani married Rohini Nilekani. They both met during an event at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. The couple Nilekani has two children, Nihar Jhanvi and Nihar. Jhanvi and both graduated from the renowned Yale University.
Nandan was a member of his Chitarpur Saraswat Brahmin Chitarpur Saraswat Brahmin community, and His first native language is Konkani. Nandan is proficient in Hindi, English as well as Kannada, and Marathi.
