District Collectors in all districts have been instructed to issue land ownership documents (pattas) for podu lands. Furthermore, they have been directed to assist farmers in opening bank accounts under their names, facilitating the seamless receipt of Rythu Bandhu payments.

Starting from June 26, 2023, the disbursement of financial assistance through the Rythu Bandhu program for the Vaanakalam (Kharif) season has commenced in the State. On the first day, a sum of Rs 642.52 crore was directly deposited into the bank accounts of 22,55,081 farmers who possess less than one acre of land.

Under the 11th edition of the Rythu Bandhu scheme for the Vaanakalam season of 2023-24, the State government has issued orders for the release of Rs. 7,720.29 crore, benefiting approximately 70 lakh farmers. With this installment, the total contribution of the Rythu Bandhu scheme to farmers’ accounts will reach Rs 72,910 crore.

Moreover, going forward, an additional 5 lakh new beneficiaries will be included in the program. This includes 1.5 lakh Podu farmers who own 4 lakh acres of Podu lands. Each of these new beneficiaries will receive Rs 10,000 per acre as part of the scheme.
