How to Apply Ration Card in Karnataka


The ration card is assigned to an applicant on the basis of different categories and their income status:
  1.     Below the Poverty Limit (BPL): These rationing cards are approved for those who earn less than Rs 10,000 per year and the government provides them with food and cereals at lower prices.
  2.     Above the Poor Margins (APL): These ration cards are approved for those who earn more than Rs 10,000 per year, and such people do not tend to get food and grain from ration stores.
  3.     Antyodaya Families (AYY): These ration cards are approved for those who are very poor and do not have a stable income and the government issues a yellow ration card for them.
