Mukesh Ambani was born on 19 April 1957, in Aden, Yemen to Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani. His father at the time was employed in Aden. Mukesh Ambani’s brother, who is younger than him, is Anil Ambani. He also has two sisters: Deepti Salgankar as well as Neena Kothari. In 1980 Indira Gandhi’s government P.F.Y. (Polyester filament yarn) manufacturing facility was made available to private companies. Reliance also applied for a license and was able to obtain a permit from Tata, Birla, and 43 giants. Dhirubhai Ambani offered Mukesh an MBA to build a PFY (Polyester Filament Yarn) factory. I was contacted during my studies. Mukesh left his studies and traveled to India and began creating factories.

In the meantime, Mukesh also announced to start off 4G services within the next three years.

The younger brother of Mukesh Anil Ambani heads the Reliance Anil “Dhirubhai Ambani” Group (ADAG). The group is involved in the power, telecommunications infrastructure, natural resources, and financial services industries. After the death of Dhirubhai Ambani in the year 2000, there were no disagreements in the relationship between the brothers and it was decided that the Reliance Group was divided into two sections.
