Although the carving skills are not great, the main Kapola temple architecture is influenced by the Maharashtra style. It is one of the most important temples in Gujarat.

The main hall is home to paintings that depict events from the life of Lord Krishna. Ranchodji, Lord Krishna, meaning “one who left battle”, is believed to have inspired Gopal Jagannath, the Peshwa court, Poona, to build a large and beautiful temple.

It was built in 1772 AD. Ranchodroy’s main statue measures 1m in length and 45cm in width. It is made of black touchstone and is adorned with ornaments, gold, and expensive clothing. The Gaik presented a piece made of wood with its throne and silver-plated wood. The Tokorkhana (music hall) is upstairs at the gate. Her music was played three times a day on shehnai drums and tambours.

Sri Bhalachandra Rao, another temple builder in Inamdar Tambokar, still serves the temple. Many people find it a unique experience to listen to Champawatiben Tambakar sing devotional songs.

Vaishnavism can offer additional bhogas, but only if the scheduled ones are available. This is possible with the Dakor temple plan. Mahabhog, Rajbhog, and other bhogas were offered to God.

Devotees can also receive Rajbhog through the Dakor Sansthan Trust. This is the oldest bhog at the temple, founded by Sri Ranchhodrai.
