History of Beechupally Temple

Beechupally, Anjaneya Swamy Temple was built 200 years ago using south Indian architecture. According to legend, The Idol for Lord Hanuman was erected in the name of Sri Vyasaraja.

After installing, he went away and began to think that he was moving and heading to the location that performed Pooja. The next night, Lord Hanuman came to him in his vision and offered the solution. A tribal child known as Beechupally asked for prayers for the Idol every day.

In the past, this area is now known as Beechupally while the Lord of the temple is referred to by the name of “Beechupally Rayudu”. In the future, Madhwa Brahmins and Gadwal Rulers could perform rituals in the temple.

Gadwal Rulers will lead the annual religious chariot celebration and also help support the temple. Every 12 years, Krishna Pushkaras are held.

The pious believe that the water from the Krishna River during Pushkaras will possess supernatural powers. Telangana State government constructed many permanent Ghats to ease the lives of the citizens.
