Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in the middle of the forest and hills that is Kondagattu, Muthyumpeta village of Mallial Mandal, Jagityal district. The deity who is the presiding god is Anjaneya Swamy, with Lord Venkateswara, Alwaarlu, and Lakshmi. Kondagattu temple hours are from 4:30 AM until 8:30 PM.

The temple is surrounded by caves and the Rayuni fort is located on the north-facing side. It was built over 500 years ago. Anjaneya Swamy, here is Swamyambhoo by the Shilasasana found on the wall that is external to the temple’s main.

History of Kondagattu Temple

The legend says there was the cattle rancher Singam Sanjeevudu from Kodimyal Village. One time, he had lost his buffalo and moved to the area of hills to look for it. In the end, after resting, he sat at a tree and then fell asleep. The Lord Anjaneya Swamy appeared in his sleeping state and told him about his lost buffalo

Whereabouts Sanjeevudu awakened and began looking for his location as per the dream.

He discovered the Idol from Lord Anjaneya. He started building the temple in the area with the assistance of his spouse, Ashamma. The temple gained fame in the years following.

Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy is regarded to be ” Sanjeeva” in the region. An Idol from Anjaneya Swamy was on the north-facing side of the temple along the Narasimha Vaktram Amburilla as well as Shanku Chakra. The devotees worship Anjaneya Swamy Deeksha here for 11 days, 21 days as well as 41 days.

The temple came under the control of the State Endowment Department in the year 1968. In the year 160 years ago the temple was reconstructed and was taken over by Krishna Rao Deshmukh.
